CANDIDATE
Aiming to educate and foster future data scientists, Dr Xuan Liang focuses on raising students’ awareness of data importance, developing their statistical thinking and analytical ability, and preparing them for future careers in the era of big data. Xuan employs an array of tailored teaching methods, including motivating students’ interest and contextualising statistical concepts within browser-based apps. Xuan was awarded the CBE 2020 Teaching Commendation for Outstanding Teaching.
